A great Muslim Warrior
A great warrior of Muslim world
A warrior, fighter and a true Muslim leader who was humble, tolerant for both Muslims and non-Muslims and a true believer of Hazrat Muhammad SWS and Almighty Allah. Who lead Muslim forces in many wars against the non-believers and won but he was generous to all of them and announced there should be no harm to them but to let them live freely as they want.
Sultan Salah al din Ayyubi or Saladin
was a Muslim leader as both military and politically. Who as a Sultan (Leader) lead Muslim forces during the crusades. He was a Sultan or king of all Muslim territories including Syria, Egypt, Palestine and Mesopotamia. His greatest success was the capture of Jerusalem in 1187 during the crusades in the battle of Hattin. Which make the way for Muslims to re-conquest the Holy place Jerusalem. On July 4, 1187 Muslim forces under the leadership of Saladin defeated the king of Jerusalem in the south of Hattin.
Saladin had embarked on a Holy city of Jerusalem after the crusades of Hattin to eliminate the military and political control in Middle east particularly the Christians control over Jerusalem. And eventually bringing the Aleppo Damascus, Mosul and other cities under his control. He established a dynasty known as Ayyubid’s dynasty in Egypt, Syria, Yemen and in some other parts of Africa.
After the battle of Hattin, he conquered many Christians centers and offered generous terms if they surrender and people after wondered on his generosity and tolerance towards non-Muslims and surrendered and few of hundreds of them also embraced Islam too. While at the same time Christian forces from Tyre started to re-united and reinforced by the soldiers from third crusade (1189–1191), encircled Muslims in Acre, destroyed some Egyptian navy bases, and under the leadership of Richard took control over a city slaughtered the Muslims defenders. Saladin avoiding the direct battle with the new crusader forces, was able to preserve the Muslim control over the holy city Jerusalem, Palestine and most of the Syria.
During the continued third crusade he was unable to defeat the armies led by Richard (King of England) and lost much of conquered area. However, he was able to negotiate with Richard for continual Muslim’s control over Jerusalem.
Saladin’s reputation for generosity, religiosity, and commitment to the higher principles of a holy war have been idealized by Muslim sources and by westerns non-Muslim also.
Sultan Salah al din Ayyubi was a great Muslim Leader and a Warrior who flighted in many battle fields for the Muslims. He set the highest example of bravery, strong determinant and passionate to his believes on Allah and Muhammad SWS. but today’s Muslim have forgotten the true of Muslims and are busy in wasting their dignity and pride to those who are only intended to give harm to the Muslims. In the present-day Muslims are needed to get some motivation from the bravery, dignity and leadership of Salah al din Ayyubi.
Rest in Peace Saladin May Allah bless you Ameen.
